Sustainability is at the root of our philosophy and our actions, because we firmly believe that no product is capable of inspiring positive feelings if it has been made by exploiting people or the planet.

We believe that it will be possible to dream of a better world when all of us have the capacity to think and act positively.
For that reason, we became a Benefit Corporation in 2023, a choice that clearly demonstrates our commitment to Sustainability.
A Benefit Corporation is a virtuous and innovative legal form of enterprise that balances the economic interests of the company with those of the community, environment and all stakeholders.
For us, choosing to become a Benefit Corporation is another step towards creating shared value in a responsible, sustainable and transparent way.
How to become a Benefit Corporation?
The transformation from for-profit to Benefit Corporation involves integrating the company bylaws with:
The definition of the common benefit goals, i.e. which positive effects the company intends to pursue for a positive impact on the environment and community.
The appointment of an individual from the management team who is responsible for the company’s impact, balancing the interests of shareholders and other stakeholders (customers, employees, suppliers, communities and the environment).
The preparation and publication of an annual sustainability report, which provides a full and transparent account of the actions carried out and of future plans and commitments
Legami Dreamland
Dreamland, our park dedicated to protecting nature, has just turned two. What makes this a project like no other is the prohibition on anybody accessing the area, preserving and shielding it from human intrusion in order to allow it to become a new green lung in Bergamo.
Such is our confidence in the value of this project and the results it has already achieved that we have decided to ramp up our commitment, expanding the area from 3 to almost 30 hectares.
We've been Carbon Neutral since 2021
For the fourth consecutive year, we’ve brought our CO2 emissions to zero. Every year, together with Rete Clima, we calculate the annual greenhouse gas emissions generated by all our operations. We lower our climate impact to zero thanks to projects to reduce and offset our CO2 emissions.

Products with FSC®-certified paper
We use only traceable, FSC®-certified paper and wood during all production stages.
Recyclable receipt paper
Our receipts are blue and, unlike conventional receipts, they are recyclable as paper.
Sustainable shopping bags
Our Boutiques use only compostable shopping bags, or Green PE bags from cane sugar.
Energy from renewable sources only
Our office uses solar panels and purchases only green energy from renewable sources.

For over 15 years, we have been supporting the CESVI non-profit and the “House of Smiles” programme, which offers safe spaces for children and their families in neglected outskirts in Italy and around the world.

A happy child is a child who can dream again
Wonder School is the 100% Legami project through which over 1,000 SCHOOL KITS were donated to school children during the 2024/2025 school year, particularly pupils in primary and middle schools living in vulnerable situations, turning the back-to-school season into a moment of joy, excitement and hope.
In collaboration with the non-profit Cesvi foundation, the kits were distributed in the areas most affected by learning poverty.
Legami has decided to continue the Wonder School into the 2025/2026 school year too, increasing the number of kits to 1,200 and expanding the geographical area in which they will be distributed.
